Abstract

Ascea is an excellent example of a biocultural landscape in increasing difficulty due to pressure and tension exercised on it by even more tourism and by building developments out of proportion to local needs. Taking into account the new legislation with regard to territorial and urban planning, the drowing up of the PUC has been taken as the occasion to verify the efficacy of an approach where the landscape constitutes the principal factor in strategic programming.
