Abstract

The constitutional bill on the premiership has started an interesting debate, which in truth has never subsided, on the reform of the Italian form of government. This contribution delves into the twists and turns of parliamentarism in relation to the Italian context, starting from the analysis of the post-unification Italian liberal state. In relation to this, the paper seeks to identify not only the discontinuities and historical complexities of the issue, but, above all, the compatibility of the reform plan with the principle of representation and the values of our current form of State
