Abstract

The international festival TorinoDanza represents a privileged observatory of the contemporary dance. Particularly the creations Noetic and Icon of the Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, that have opened the edition 2018, offer a look on the humanity, able to show the dialectical trial among reason and instinctive component, that animates the human existence. At the center of these two works, opposite for some aspects, there is the dancing body as minimum common denominator, shown on the scene in a syncretism of styles and cultural languages that converge in the choreographic poetry of Cherkaoui.
