The contribution concerns the regulatory sandbox and its relationship with the sources of law. The institution is widespread globally and it has recently been introduced into the Italian legal order through the so-called Decreto crescita. It allows room for experimentation in the FinTech domain, derogating from the rules in force. In this perspective, the regulatory sandbox becomes part of a system of legal sources which is profoundly modified by the process of internationalisation and globalisation.
